facett-markdown — crate card
Reverse-engineered (from source — verify, don't trust the name)
- One-line pitch: A pure-egui Markdown editor+preview facet with @mention/#tag extraction.
- Does: Edits case descriptions/comments with an Edit/Preview
Modetoggle. A dependency-free hand-rolled renderer covers the markdown a case uses (headings, lists, blockquotes, code fences, inline bold/code/links) plus@mentionand#tagtokens, which are highlighted and extracted viamentions()/tags()for the host to link/notify.Markdownfollows the facett Facet contract (title/ui/state_json). No markdown crate — the subset is small and hand-rolling keeps it lean. - Key deps: egui (incl. text::LayoutJob), serde/serde_json. Optional
facettfeature. - Shape: lib, ~365 LOC single lib.rs (Mode, Markdown).
- Observed role in the workspace: Standalone editor widget, no in-repo consumer yet. Built in ordning; destined for facett.

- Hard constraint (airgap / no-C-deps / no-FFI / pure-Rust / etc.):
- Release cadence & independence (rides a parent? own repo someday?):
- Status (production / prototype / experimental / stubbed):
- Must-NOT-change invariant:
- Biggest known gap or TODO:
- Anything a newcomer would get wrong about it:
