Native gRPC (tonic) front over skade-katalog's embedded RedbCatalog — the fast wire for the nordisk Rust mesh.

Both ends, from the one proto (proto/skade_katalog.proto):

• server — service / serve / spawn over a RedbCatalog (what skade-katalog serve --grpc ADDR runs);
• client — client::GrpcCatalog, an iceberg::Catalog over the wire. A table load is one RPC: the metadata document rides in the answer. Table files are read through the StorageFactory the caller names (local filesystem, or skade's S3 store). Opening makes no network call. Verbs the protocol lacks (rename, register, purge, drop/update namespace) and table creations it cannot carry (partition spec, sort order, properties, a non-default format version) are refused by name, never silently dropped. Plain HTTP/2: the front serves no TLS.

skade::connect::SkadeGrpc (feature grpc-catalog) wraps the client as a CatalogConnector; knut's bifrost doris run --grpc-uri http://katalog:8182 --table ns.name … reads a table through it.
